How to play

  • Tap an engine to send it around a toy. It picks up blocks of its own color, from the outside in.
  • Tap the lever to choose the top or bottom toy. The glowing track shows where the next engine goes.
  • An engine laps until its wagon is full. Too few blocks? It waits in a siding and can go again.
  • Both toys hold every color, so count the numbers on the chips and plan who goes where.
  • Press and hold an engine to preview its trip. Kids Mode (tap the turtle) makes it gentler.

Controls

  • Phone or tablet: Tap an engine to send it, tap the lever to pick the toy. Press and hold an engine to preview, slide away to cancel.
  • Keyboard: 1 2 3 pick an engine, 4 5 6 a waiting one, ↑ ↓ the lever, ← β†’ the shortcut, Space sends, Z undoes, H hints.
  • Mouse: Click an engine to send it, click the lever to pick the toy. Hover an engine to preview its trip.
  • Gamepad: D-pad moves the lever, A sends, B undoes, Y gives a hint. Start pauses.

Tips

  • Press and hold an engine first: its loop lights up and the blocks it will pick up are numbered in order.
  • Add up the chips above a toy: an engine that needs 5 is happiest on a toy that has exactly 5 of its color.
  • An engine only sees the first block in each row or column, so other colors can hide the ones behind them.
  • An engine that comes back with space left waits in a siding with its number showing: send it again to the other toy.

About this game

Pixel Train is a cozy railway puzzle with two pixel toys on a play mat. Each toy is a little picture made of colorful blocks, and a loop of wooden track runs around it. Tap an engine in the yard and it chugs around a loop, picking up the blocks of its own color from the outside in. Blocks hop into its wagon with a happy boop, and when the wagon is full the engine toots and goes home.

Here is the twist. A lever at the station decides which toy the next engine circles, the top one or the bottom one. Both toys hold every color, so color never tells you where to go. Each engine has a number: how many blocks it still needs. The little chips above each toy count what is left, so you can add it up and plan who goes where. Send the wrong engine to the wrong toy and another engine can never fill up!

Nothing is ever lost. An engine that finds too few blocks simply waits in a siding with its number showing, and you can send it again. Press and hold any engine to preview its trip: its loop lights up, the blocks it will pick up glow in order, and a badge says whether it comes home full. From level 11, shortcut levers add smaller loops around part of a toy.

Clear both toys in as few sends as you can for three stars. Every level you finish adds a wagon painted with its two toys to your train, and every five levels a new engine joins the shed. Kids Mode (tap the turtle) makes the game gentler for younger players.
