How to play

  • Swipe anywhere: both hamster balls roll that way at the same time.
  • A ball rolls until it hits a wall and paints every tile it rolls over.
  • A ball already at a wall waits while its twin rolls on. Use it to line them up!
  • Paint every tile of both mazes to win. Fewer swipes earn more stars.
  • Pink jelly stops a ball right on top of it. Kids Mode (tap the turtle) has gentler mazes.

Controls

  • Phone or tablet: Swipe anywhere on the screen. Drag a little to see where both balls will roll, then let go to roll.
  • Keyboard: ← → ↑ ↓ or W A S D roll both balls, Z undoes, H shows a hint. Esc pauses.
  • Mouse: Drag anywhere on the screen and let go to roll both balls.
  • Gamepad: d-pad rolls both balls, B undoes, Y shows a hint. Start pauses.

Tips

  • A ball already at a wall waits, so swipe toward its wall to move only its twin.
  • Drag a little before you let go: the dotted trails show where both balls will roll and which tiles they paint.
  • Rolling over paint is fine: roll a finished ball back and forth while its twin catches up.
  • Pink jelly stops a ball on top of it, so it can stop in the middle of a long corridor.

About this game

Twin Paint Maze is a rolling paint puzzle with a twist: there are two mazes and two hamster balls, and every swipe moves both of them at once. Pip rolls through the top maze leaving orange dotted paint, and Pop rolls through the bottom maze leaving blue stripes. Each ball keeps rolling until it hits a wall, painting every tile it crosses, and you win when every tile of both mazes is painted.

The clever part is the wall. When a ball is already pressed against a wall in the direction you swipe, it simply waits there while its twin rolls on. Park one hamster, move the other, then line them up again. Finding one swipe order that paints both mazes is the whole puzzle, and it gets twistier with jelly pads that stop a ball right on top of them.

Before you let go, a dotted trail shows where both balls will roll, the tiles they will paint shimmer, and a little paw pops up over a ball that will wait. Undo as often as you like. There is no timer, no lives and no losing screen: if a board ever gets into a spot it cannot finish, the twins scratch their heads and suggest an Undo.

Every pair you paint hangs on the wall of the Twin Den as a framed painting, and every five mazes a new toy arrives for the hamsters. Right after the five starter mazes, the Daily Twins pair waits each day, the same for everyone, with a postcard for your den. Kids Mode (tap the turtle) gives younger players gentler mazes that can always be finished and a hint hand after four seconds.

100 mazes, 60 Kids Mode mazes and a new Daily every day. Play free in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
