Tip: turn your phone sideways, or tap Full screen, for a bigger game.

How to play

  • Your car always drives. Hold left or right (or A / D) to steer.
  • Every tile you cross shakes, then falls. Don't drive back over your own trail.
  • Drive a ring around a rival: its island falls away and it drops. That is a trap.
  • Fall through a hole and you land on the floor below. Off the bottom floor you are out.
  • Boost (⚑, Shift or Space) to go faster and cut a wider trail. Last car up wins.

Controls

  • Phone or tablet: Hold the left or right half of the screen to steer, tap ⚑ to boost. Party: each player has β—€ β–Ά ⚑ in a corner.
  • Keyboard: A D or ← β†’ to steer, Shift or Space to boost, Esc to pause. Party: P1 A D W, P2 ← β†’ ↑, P3 J L I, P4 numpad 4 6 8.
  • Mouse: Hold the β—€ β–Ά arrows on screen to steer, click ⚑ to boost.
  • Gamepad: Left stick steers, A or RT boosts.

Tips

  • Keep open floor around you: drive along the edge of open space, not through the middle of it.
  • Ring a rival from a little way out: a wide circle cuts it off before it sees the moat.
  • Save a boost for an escape: the wider cut behind you also closes the door on whoever follows.
  • Dropping a floor is not the end: look for the floor below with the most tiles left and fall there on purpose.

About this game

Crumble Rally is a last-car-standing race on floors made of hex tiles, and every tile a car drives over shakes for a moment and drops into the sky. Your car never stops. All you do is steer and boost, and every move eats floor: for you, and for everyone else.

That is where the fight is. Eight cars share three stacked floors. The leader leaves a trail of holes. Swing wide around a rival and the ring you drive becomes a moat: its little island crumbles under it and it drops. Fall through a hole yourself and you land on the floor below, still in the race, until the last floor runs out and your parachute opens. Boost goes faster and cuts a wider trail, power tiles give you Glue (no crumble for 3 seconds), Jump (hop a gap) or Heavy (a three-tile cut), and the edges crumble in near the end of a round.

Five short lessons teach it one idea at a time, then four cups of five rounds bring smarter rivals: rookies, pros and aces that plan around the holes and try to box you in. Shining tiles show where the cars near you are heading.

The Daily Match is five rounds on today's floors, the same for everyone, and it is what goes on the leaderboard; your three best each week make your Weekly Cup. Party mode puts 2 to 4 players on one device (each in a corner of a tablet, or on the keyboard), with bots filling the rest. Win stars for new paints in the Garage.

Crumble Rally plays free in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, held sideways. Cars never crash or get hurt: a car that runs out of floor floats down under a parachute.
