How to play
- Hold the button through the three lights to rev, then let go on green for a perfect launch.
- Tap to shift when the dial's needle is in the green zone. Perfect shifts earn bonus points.
- In top gear the button turns red: one press of BRAKE holds to a stop, as close to the table edge as you dare.
- Stop within a toy inch for LAST INCH, but go over the edge and your car drops into the cereal!
- Win coins, upgrade your car in the Garage and beat 30 critter rivals. Tap 2 Players to race a friend.
- Kids Mode (tap the turtle) shifts the gears for you and puts a soft pillow at the edge.
Controls
- Phone or tablet: Touch and hold anywhere to rev, let go on green, tap to shift, hold to brake. Two players: one half of the screen each.
- Keyboard: Hold Space, ↑ or W to rev and brake, tap to shift. Two players: A and L. Esc pauses.
- Mouse: Click and hold anywhere to rev, let go on green, click to shift, hold to brake.
- Gamepad: Hold A to rev and brake, tap A to shift. Start pauses.
Tips
- Watch the red marker on the ruler: it shows where your car would stop if you braked right now.
- One brake press holds all the way to a stop, so pick your moment.
- A faster car needs more room to stop. Buy brakes in the Garage before more speed.
- Let go the instant the light turns green. The wait changes every race, so do not guess.
About this game
Last Inch Drag Racing is a drag race with a twist: the strip is a kitchen table, and the finish line is only a hand's width from the edge. Winning the race is half the job. The other half is stopping, because a toy car that rolls over the edge drops into a bowl of cereal and the race is lost.

You play with one button. Hold it while the three amber lights count down to rev your engine, then let go the instant the light turns green for a perfect launch. Tap to shift gears when the needle on your dial sits in the green zone. In top gear the button turns red and becomes your BRAKE. A red marker on the ruler shows exactly where your car would stop if you pressed it right now, so you can learn the distance by watching.
The later you brake, the more points you earn. Stop within a toy inch of the edge and the whole table gasps and cheers for a LAST INCH bonus. Brake a little too late and you take a splash. A faster car needs more room to stop, so every upgrade you earn in the Garage (engine, brakes, tires and a fifth gear) changes the stop.
Beat 30 critter rivals across five tables, from a sleepy snail to tricky bosses, and fill your trophy shelf with every rival you beat. Tap 2 Players to race a friend on one screen, each with a button of their own.
